I bought this book for an on-line class through McGraw Hill's Connect system.The bundled disc does not work with my operating system, Windows 7 Home Premium. When I called McGraw Hill's tech support I was told that the disc was old (in a book printed in 2010 most files are from 2005, some from 2008). "Just go find a computer with the right operating system." was the advice I was given. There is no patch for this, and several hours spent online researching has led me to the conclusion that I have to purchase an upgrade to my operating sysetm so I can download a fix from Microsoft.
Just the attitude from tech support is inexcusable, compounded by the cavalier attitude on M-H's part that we either all have access to numerous computers with operating systems that go back to Windows 2000, or that we have deep enough pockets to afford to "just upgrade" to enable their inefficiency.
