This book was about loving someone who is off limits. Best friends sometimes have feeling but don't react on them because of that friendship. This story has many twist and turns but it's well worth it. Loved how Trey was protective over Halei. It's bad when people know how you love somebody but they go after that person just spite you. Jerzei is jealous of Halei and would do anything to hurt her. Can't believe she would stoop as low as she did to make sure that Trey gives up what he has worked on to somebody just so she will still have money. This is all going to bad fire on her because she has lost her best friend & now the person she hired may even turn his back on her. It was shocking to learn that Grayson is even in on it. When all of these secrets come out it is going to be some mess. Will Halei be able to forgive what has been done to her. Will Trey & Halei finally be able to be together. It's a lot of
Man oh man... This book is a definite page turner... I could not stop reading... All the twist in here has you trying to figure things out all the way to the end... Once you get towards the end some things your trying to figure out start to be revealed... All of a sudden... Boom... You are back to playing the guessing game... Now you have another puzzle to try to figure out with this book... This book flows very well and you are given just enough information at a time to pull you in and keep you right on the edge wanting more...And trust me it does not disappoint... Bernard is just all the way crazy... He seems to be running things ... But he is jist the help... He is so caight up he is torturing poor Halei and for what... She didn't do anything... This man really needs help... He is not the only one... Halei's own sister is a part of all of this... The jealously and envy that Jerzei has for her own sisters is just off the chain... She goes back and forth on what she wants to do... First she wants her sister out of the picture then she is feeling guilty about what she is doing and wants her home... Then she is angry because she is jealous all over again about the attention her sister is getting and just wants Halei to suffer.... No matter what Jerzei does... She will never get Trey to love her and stop loving her sister... Her life is just not going the way she wants it to go no matter how much manipulating she is doing... Now wait... What happened to Trey... Wow he just fell off... This Grayson guy is just a mystery to me... I am not exactly sure what his angle is... His life is just so mysterious... Now I love Keisha and Cedric... They have a great bond... I was so glad to see that she did not want to get caught up with Jerzei's mess.. I was so glad that she did not leave Halei behind... However, by her helping Halei she is now in Jail... Can Cedric help Keisha get out... Wow... Wait a minute... Halei can not catch a break...Just when things finally start looking up for her... She is caught up all over again... Who was the man in the car... who is this nurse... What will happen now... Wow... The drama just keeps going.. I cant wait for part 3..
Good read. The drama began soon as the book started and it took place through out the entire book. No matter what happens between Trey and Halei he will never want to be with Jerzi. Jerzi still doing whatever she can do come between the too and it does no good. Trey loves her and is willing to do anything to get his Live back home so they can work on being a family.
Cedric was kinda making me mad. He know what Trey is going through and for him to tell Keisha to leave Halei to come home doesn't sit right with and him not being there for Trey like he has been for him is Shady! I kinda got a feeling he up to jo good.
Overall the book was good. I do feel it was dragged out to make a prt 3. We got a few answers from part 1 but still have questions. To bring Halei home only for everyone else to be gone. Can't wait for part 3 to see how it all plays out.
This book right here was a page turner... It moved at a nice fast pace... Had me hooked from beginning to end... Man I just could not put this book down... Now I absolutely love Haeli she is so sweet, smart and loving and is always putting others happiness before her own... Now her sister Jerzie that girl right there is a hot mess... I just can not stand her and how she treats her own sister... she has to much time on her hands to put in so much work to hurt her own sister... Now with Trey... He did everything he could to help Haeli get through school... Although they were just friends they both were in love with eachother but never brought it up... Now on her graduation day they did end up together but then it didn't go past that because he was still in the streets... okay so Grayson I really liked in the beginning and I felt kind of bad for him because he had these feelings for Haeli but she was caught up with Trey... Once I started to see who he really is I just can't stand him... Also Sierra is suppose to be really good friends with Haeli but now look at her... she got me looking at her sideways... why is everyone hating in Haeli and doing her wrong... With this cliffhanger has me wanting more... I can't wait for part 2...
Very intense read. A lot of drama and suspense. Anxious to see what happens in the next book. Recommended read
The character development was good & I liked the flow of the story.
This was a very good book read it in a day so ready for part 2 can't stand her sister Jerzi she's a major bitch I hope karma bites her in ass.
I really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed it from start to finish.I hope there is a part two. I look forwatd to reading more
